She’s a mama of two who is passionate about women’s healthcare. When her son was born she learned the hard way what a lack of support, misinformation, and the isolation of new-motherhood can do to your mental health and confidence as a parent. In her 30’s she left her career as a CPA and dedicated herself full-time to helping families and their babies start out right.
Her mission is to help families “find their feet” and grow into the parents they hope to be.
It takes a village to raise a child and in Canadian society we have largely forgotten this. Families are left to figure out parenting on their own, including infant feeding. Lactation consultants work as part of your medical team and overall village to navigate the transition to parenthood and overcome the unique challenges that each baby-and-parent combo experience.
Supported by an incredible team of IBCLCs and pediatricians, she is building a career focused on empowering education and encouragement for families navigating the joys and uncertainties of breastfeeding. She understands firsthand the complexities and emotions that come with this journey, and the necessity of judgment-free assistance and guidance to families, regardless of their unique dynamics and backgrounds.
